Macro Monday ~ Winter flowering indoor plants

Winter is a time when most plants in our latitude in nature and in the garden rest. From December to March blooms most potted plants that are grown so that brighten our winter home with flowered decoration. Flamingo is also one of these plants. It is a fan of higher temperatures and is ideally suited for heated homes. Of course, the proximity of the radiator does not suit any plant. In centrally heated apartments, the humidity in winter is greatly reduced, in some cases to 30 percent, while the plants would need at least twice as much, and this would further deplete them. In such circumstances, they like to be attacked by mites or whether they begin to yellow and dropping off leaves. Dry air is most easily tolerated by succulents, plants that store water in thick leaves or other organs, and green plants with compact waxy leaves such as flamingo. Larger groups of houseplants in one place are still most likely to increase air humidity.
