Macro Monday ~ Visitors to my garden

I have many visitors in my garden all summer. Two years ago, I had tremendous visits to the red worms, and last year I had large garden snails. The snail is the largest and most diverse group of mollusks. The snail is often a severe scourge in the vegetable garden. If too many, they cause great damage to vegetables. Vegetables are a source of food, and within a few days, they can destroy everything that we have planted. Stopping the snails is very difficult. We will be helped by their natural enemies (hedgehogs, crows, nurses, etc.). We can drive them out of the garden by planting plants that they do not like, by hand picking, sprinkling substances that destroy the mucous layer and dry them, etc.

  1. Wow you my must have been standing nose to nose to get such a fantastic shot of a usually small snail. I guess we are lucky here: first we do not have a garden thus we have no snails. But we have hares, stray cats, raccoons, squirrels, the occasional deer, birds and of course flies and mosquitoes in the summer time. That is enough for me…

  2. That is pretty detailed!
I hardly get visits from them, but they do crawl on the pavement after rain and unfortunately…
    get stepped on
