It’s time for my second entry in Macro Monday challenge and it’s another “frozen” photo. The Goddess of cold and glitter must be pleased! The photo is taken on a mountain near a small stream of water, everything was frozen there.
Well, I always loved the magic of winter, but I prefer warmer seasons, so my next photos in this challenge will be a little more “warmer” ?.

What a great, and interesting photo. I do hate the cold, because I have been sick off and on since Christmas, so I can’t wait for spring.
Spring is finally here! Winter still lingers, but she has no strength left, all the bees and flowers are driving her away.
It’s a wonderful photo taken by you. It’s cold indeed upon seeing.
Thank you! It was a cold day and I wanted to capture that, that’s how this “cold” photo appeared ?.
Amazing photo!!! Sure that the Goddess of cold and glitter will be pleased!!!
Hehe, I hope so, I try to do my best to please her ?.
Wonderful photo! Looks so unusual. Is that some plant frozen?
You are right ?. It was a plant indeed and it got frozen, probably very quickly.
Amazing ice formation! It’s so beautiful to look at, but I don’t know if the weather was as nice, haha.
It was cold, but not that bad. I wish I had more photos of this one ?.
Great photo, really interesting composition and I have never seen anything like it as I don’t live where it snows
Thank you! I’ll try to take more photos of ice, but probably next winter, now it’s a little too warm for that ?.
Fantastic picture taking feat. Here in Canada it is definitely winter too but in Gatineau where I reside it seems we were dumped all the winter snow in one month and a half. The snowbanks are huge and even dangerous for motorists and pedestrians alike due to the lack of vision around or above those snowbanks. But still I love this time of year and will be sorry to see it disappear as the groundhog predicts an early spring (at least in the US). Hope your spring and summer will be warm and sunny. BTW a big thank you for your recent up votes on my little presentations.
It was my pleasure and thank you very much for this nice comment ?. We don’t have snow anymore, these last few days were very warm, temperatures went up, they even got past 50 F. I just hope it won’t rain, I don’t like winter rain…
Talking about rain, overnight we had freezing rain so woke up with a skating rink in the backyard and street. I hate that as I never learned to skate and I am afraid of falling and breaking a hip or something. I am glad to hear that your snow is almost gone. Ours is still piled high and glistening with ice. Still I would never give my winter…
Huh, I really don’t like freezing rain, we had it two weeks ago and it was a total mess. Many people called the emergency workers for broken bones… Nope, I hate freezing rain ?
that is one hell of a pic. it doesn’t make me feel cold because I see them as quartz crystals. I knew they were ice but I just have stone on my mind
minerals on my mind. sounds better and is more accurate
You are right, I see them as crystals too. That’s why I am so fascinated by ice, it makes my mind wonder ?.
those are ice crystals, which share many similar traits
Excellent photo! Today were 12°C in Targoviste. Freezing rain is just a memory! Waiting for your “warmer” photo next Monday! Have a nice week!
Same here, in Ramnicu Valcea ?. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed a nice walk in the city. Hopefully these days will last a little more.
Preparing the warmer photos now!
As a resident of a tropical country, seeing a variety of uniqueness from various countries with four seasons is very pleasant, like this picture too…! This is a cool and cold photo!
Thank you, Albert! I always search for beauty and nature has plenty of it. It comes in all forms and shapes ?. I would like to visit a tropical country one day, hehe.
That’s great, Gogata. Maybe you will not find snow and ice (except in the refrigerator) but will surely find other beauty in tropical countries.
Absolutely! And I’m counting on that ?. Snow and ice, I have enough of them, I want something new and different.
Then you’ll find a lot of wonder in the tropical countries.
This is an incredible macro, nice detail.
Thank you, Carol! I did my best with my small camera, I hope to post some more detailed photos in the future.
You did great with this camera.
Really love the framing and layout of the picture. it does, however look freezing!
It was really cold and those frozen leaves looked amazing. If only I had a better camera…
You did very well, but we always want more!
Thank you ?. Indeed, we always want more and I know it can be done better. Way better ?.
For me, if I want a better picture I ask my daughter to take it. She is much better than I am.
Super shot. The picture is stunning. We also have winter.
Thank you! I have some pictures depicting frozen landscapes, but I love it when I can make some macro photos ?.
I hope to see some wonderful picture of you ?
I’ll do my best not to disappoint! Thank you, vidocka ?.
so co… co.. coooold. here is warm season now.
Nice! Here we still have winter, but I see some sunshine now, that’s great! Maybe spring is near ?.
this was twenty six days ago, so is it spring there now?
Almost! Warm weather, bees and a few flowers. I’m still waiting for life’s explosion ?.
ahh yes, the ones always shown in the movie? when they capture the Spring scene…
