The Gentian comes from the family of greetings, and we find him especially in the mountains. Mostly we know blue, but we can also find it in yellow and red. The beauty among the flowers is protected by its rarity. Plants are forbidden to tear, dig, crush or damage. With more than 400 species, it belongs to a large family. It is known primarily for large, trumpet-like flowers, which are mostly blue. Blooms from May to July from the Alpine valleys to the high mountain belt. Already in antiquity, Gentian was used to treat liver diseases and digestive disorders, against all possible parasites.

Such a beauty!!! Heard about it before, but never seen it; it also grows in some regions of Siberia.
I also see this flower very rarely because it grows quite high in the hills
This plant is also found in the Bulgarian mountains. I did not know it was a protected species.

The gentians have been used for centuries as bitters to stimulate the appetite, improve digestion, and to treat a variety of GI complaints (eg, heartburn, vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhea). Stemless gentian usually is consumed as a tea or alcoholic extract, such as Angostura bitters.
Thanks for the additional information. In our country, for a while, a burning drink was made from these flowers.
It looks really interesting!!
I’d love to see it in other colours too:)
Thank you … in other colors we rarely see them
