Macro Monday ~ Last flowers on my patio

Every time I step on the patio I see that my least favorite season is getting closer. And this is winter. My terrace is empty, left without all the beautiful flowers I admired all summer long. But these two pelargoniums persistently bloom. When I was cleaning the terrace, I wanted to throw the pelargonium into the trash. But I changed my mind and I’m not sorry. Pelargoniums are really very tricky balcony plants. Every year I think about replacing them with some other flowers, but I think they will adorn my terrace for quite some time.

    • It turns out that they are often called geraniums in English, but the botanical name is Pelargonium. Geranium is the botanical name of another plant, but they all belong to the same family. 🙂 Interestingly, I love the aroma of geranium and dislike the one of pelargoniums, haha.

  1. They have been in my pergola for years now. I never throw out plants, actually we don’t need too as we don’t have cold winters here.
