Macro Monday – Killer and its victim

Longer ago I said that I do not often see such scenes! This picture contradicts me. More and more often, I see such scenes. Small but lively, spiders eat a lot of insects. I saw spiders attacking bees! Here, this horrible creature attacked an ant. Researchers say that  spiders eat up to 880 million tons of insects each year. I mean, twice as much as all adult people on the planet weigh! It’s hard to believe, isn’t it?

I share this photo with Macro Monday Challenge

  1. Spiders are part of the food chain – many birds will happily eat spiders, plucking them out of their webs. So it isn’t all one-way traffic!
