This is a very beautiful poppy that a little visited. She is a very beautiful creature.
There are about 5000 different types of ladybugs in the world. They generally vary in color and dots, but the most popular and common ones are those with a shiny, red body with seven black dots.
In many cultures around the world, ladybugs are a symbol of luck. Most people like them because they are beautiful, elegant and safe. But the farmers adore them because the ladybugs like to eat aphids and other insects that eat the plants. Only one ladybug can eat up to 5,000 insects in its lifetime.

This is a gorgeous shot of the Lady bug. We have mainly 2 varieties, a shiny blue and a orange spotted ladybug, I am not sure if there are other types of lady bugs in New Zealand.
We have only a couple of varieties here, orange and red ones.
This I learned lately that the ladybug eats aphids so it is friendly to the garden.
I found a ladybird. It matches the flower very nicely
I did find the ladybug, very camouflaged in this stunning bloom.
Great macro image dear Elenka … I found a pickup
That is a beautiful picture. I spotted the ladybug! I had no idea there are 5000 different types of these. Yes, we call them Ladybirds here in England.
I have seen ladybugs in real life but since you say they come in so many varieties I do not know which variety is hiding here. I have only seen one with a red body and black dots. (lol)
Ladybugs are so cool. They should not be able to fly (if you watch them fly you think how is that possible) but they are amazing. Such a perfect picture!
Not difficult to find!
For some strange reason, these little beetles are known as ladybirds in the UK. I often complain about the odd names that Americans give to things – such as “bathroom” for a room that does not contain a bath – but in this case it’s we Brits who are peculiar!
We don’t just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for loose vocabulary
An interesting and not inaccurate way of putting it!
it’s not mine, but I thought you’d get a kick out of it…
