Here is a macro of a water hyacinth in bloom. It is one of the prettiest flowers though it is a terrible weed that clogs lakes and other water bodies.
This shot isn’t very good as these flowers grow further in the lake I tried to get a decent shot without a tripod from the sloping banks of the lake.
There are about 7-10 blooms on this bunch I guess.

You may have in the ponds and lakes.
Such lovely flowers. Too bad it is such a terrible weed.
Yeah, it is indeed an terrible weed. But I love the flowers and grow them.
I think we have that plant in my parent’s home.
Your parent’s grow them? That’s wonderful.
Never seen this nor experience ….
Hmm it is pretty common in the lakes and ponds.
Never seen these but I am not around water. Pretty color.
True, One of my favorite colors.
I always quoted water hyacinths as one man’s food but another one’s poison. Not exactly food but I know US gets rid of it while I grow them in a tub.
They are indeed one man’s weed and another man’s prized possession in the garden 😀
