Macro photography is perhaps one of the most appealing parts of photographic art. Loved by some photographers, misunderstood by the vast majority but certainly approached by everyone who owns a camera. The purpose of macro photography is to capture fragments of images from the world less seen with the naked eye.
For today I have something special. It is a fine powdery substance that forms in the stamens of flowers. It has a blooming floral smell, being one of the purest and finest foods, a true miracle of nature, used since antiquity by Egyptians and Chinese as a natural medicine and a maintenance factor of the body.

I have a passion for photography but yet not attempted to look deep into something that is almost not visible to the eye. That is a great job you have there.

These are the anthers of lily stamens, carrying pollen.
Very cool. Lilies drop that stuff on the carpet. It’s been a while – we stopped having lilies because of the cats.
Pollen! The rose of sharon blooms out front have the bees covered and the grass as well.
