It is always interesting when an infant arrives. In some families it seems important that they try and identify who the child looks like. My Mom passed away several years ago and my brother and I went to see a baby the day he was born. We thought we were alone looking through the window into the nursery.
My brother said, “Hey it looks like we finally have a grandchild that has Mom’s black hair. She would be so excited.”
Another person was there who said “Your mother had nothing to do with that, black hair comes from our side of the family.”
My brother said “Thank you for shouting that so loud our deceased mother could hear it.”
I immediately began to apologize for he remarks. He interrupted. “I was sarcastic, not rude.”
She said “What does sarcastic mean?” My mind raced immediately to this.

Sarcasm is usually inappropriate even if others try to be funny.
I understand where you are coming from.
It may not be appropriate but I do this all the time. lol I remember that episode. I love sheldon!
I find that times I enjoy a little sarcasm myself.
