Sharing a photo from my spring garden. Tiger Lily is a favorite flower. The blooms are as big as your hand. The butterflies and hummingbirds love the pollen. These plants are perennial, meaning they return each spring to bloom again. My favorite kind of plant in the garden.
Tiger lilies are poisonous to cats. Thankfully my cats are indoor only. The stray cats seem to know which plants to stay away from.

Beautiful Lily! What other colors do you have? I have the bright red ones here. They pop up here and there in the yard. It makes me want to see the old homestead with the original gardens.
OMG, such beauty is poisonous to cats?! What a pity! Anyway, we can enjoy the view of these flowers and keep our cats on the safe distance.
Yes they are toxic to cats but mine are safe indoors.

I have these in my garden. I know that the sap causes an irritation but I am not sure if they are poisonous. My dogs don’t go near them anyways.
The most dangerous and potentially life-threatening lily ingestions by cats involve lilies belonging to the genera Lilium (true lilies) and Hemerocallis. Examples of some of these toxic lilies include Asiatic, Easter, Japanese Show, red, rubrum, stargazer, tiger, Western, and wood lilies (Lilium species) and daylilies (Hemerocallis species). Even small ingestions (such as less than 1-2 petals or leaves) – even the pollen or water from the vase – may result in severe, acute kidney failure.
