When I was building software years ago, we used to do this (you have a dollar to spend- each vote is a quarter). It helps people focus on the things that are critical for them!

Please note, all of these came from community members and are their ideas for things that would make their Virily experience better. Based on that, please respect the community members. If you don’t find value in a change, don’t vote for it. Pick the top four asks for change from the community. Please do note that this list is now officially ranked based on the input of the community yesterday there is a new ask from yesterday that is listed below the similar ask that was highly rated. The guest view issue appears to be the hottest right now. We must understand the reality of what we are asking for. Guest views were given linking a share to all guest views and giving credit for that. We aren’t asking for that as a community. We are asking for the return of the recently removed one viril (guest view) per social share.
I do appreciate all the suggestions and alternative methods to solve the problems people are having. The intent of this post is not to fix the issues. The intent is to gather together the things that the community would like to see fixed in the platform. I do understand that you can easily edit pictures, but not everyone has the time to do that. The other issues often have a workaround as well, but let’s share those in separate posts!
It is important as well that we consider the impact of actions on the site as a whole. Several rumors are floating around about limits. We know there is one limit.
- There is a maximum of 8 posts per day (this one is true, a few authors have hit this limit)
- There is a 25 comment limit (I don’t think this one is true, I commented on more than 30 posts today and got credit for all of them) Anyone else able to confirm or deny this rumor?

changes that help virily generate revenue should be a priority

you’re more familiar with their changelist than I am- is that what they’re doing?
1. the rate for virils appears to have changed again.
2. The ads are now embedded in the text again. As well as the ads at the bottom and top of the posts.
3. They appear to be adding reliability (the site doesn’t go away often) but not sure they have improved reliability/speed.

how many times have they dropped the viril this year, that you’re aware of?
that I am aware of, twice in 2019. I completely understand why, views are down, and frankly costs have to be more now than they were three years ago.
possibly, but without incentive they’re going to lose content which just exacerbates the low view problem. of course, you don’t want to just break even either…
sadly we’ve lost content producers already. Non-Virily focused content is the key to the site continuing to move forward. When the only thing an author can do to be trending is focus wholly on Virily fix, articles we are heading downhill.

please don’t tell me that is getting worse…

I think we should definitely get credit for guest views. I have benefited from that in the past because I share all of my articles on different social media sites for other viewers enjoyment. I believe it also attracts others to join as well because I have got some ruffled feathers that couldn’t comment on certain writers unless they joined. I’am all in for guest views
i suspect we won’t get guest views back, but i do think we should get credit for the first share. We did for a very long time.

My two cents. It is high time that Virily has a strategy in place to attract search traffic.
i think search engine optimization (SEO) is as much authors as it is Virily.
I chose 1, 3, 4 and 5. I am sure they have reduced the number of comments (or some other restrictions). It happens to me everyday that I do not receive Virilis for comment. This has not happened to me once before. I comment as normal as I have done so far.
Several authors have mentioned that issue (reduced comment virils) it has not impacted me, I went out of my way to comment and way more than usual yesterday. I got credit for 50 comments.
I really don’t know what’s going on with the comments and Virilis. I kind of receive Virilis normally, but what day I stop receiving Virillis very quickly. However, I have never considered comments.
i think they are starting to limit total comments in a day. What I don’t know is for all users, some users or specific users.

I did 39 today
Today I counted the review of posts and virilies I received for commenting on these posts. I received the viriles for 25 comments. I do not receive them now.
i am afraid that some who cannot follow rules have caused another virily change in comments.
I will check mine again today.

Well I wasn’t voting tactically. I mean, I was voting up or down the things that meant the most/least to me, rather than considering how likely we were to get them 🙂

Just seems that gaining just one viril for sharing a post is so small as to be meaningless, and it in no way reflects how much or little traffic the share generates. Is this what there was that you mentioned stopping 4 years ago?
technically it was 3 years ago, the 4 was a mistype.
no, 3 years ago you got credit for every guest view generated by your share. It caused the massive site slowdown issue.
they dropped it to 1 viril for each share
(up to four originally per post, now only 3 because Google+ is no more).

Well, yeah, I remember that happening, maybe even more than once. June 2017 I joined. The way we were awarded for outside views was then twofold: 1 viril for each guest view of your post, and 1 viril each time someone visited using your referral code on the url.
yes, it was very cool, in the beginning we could make Virils easier than now. But now, you get paid more for what is shared.
Although the over commenters and the (Nice, Good) short commenters continue to force more and more rules.
I have never posted more than two in a day. So 8 posts a day is more than enough for me.

Interesting, they read such posts about Virily and pay attention to our wishes?
They did on the list we sent them in July all but 2 things out of 9
I chose 3, 4, 5 and 9. The administration should communicate before and after changes. That should be the most most important. Most writing sites do, so should Virily…
