Learning 1-10

This is one of the toys or I will called it learning tool of my boy when he was 3/4/5.

He managed to learn 1-10 fast via this kind of toys. Not only numbers, but colours and shapes too.

In fact, he learned  adding up 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10=?with all the rings with the tool when he was 4.

This a good Montessori learning too especially for those slower learners.

  1. This looks fun, as kids can learn and play at the same time. Well, they might think they are playing, not actually learning. I think it’s helpful for kids to use some tools to learn Math, especially at the beginning stage, it makes them easy to grasp the abstract concept of Math.

    I learned about this arithmetic question a few years back, by adding up the front and the back. It’s smart that your boy already got it when he was 4. 🙂

      • Yes, I agree with you. I didn’t teach my kids when they were young. I do have a 10 x 10 abacus at home. My eldest didn’t really like using tool, but I am now teaching my girl to use that. I tried to use Math gnomes and manipulatives when teaching my eldest Math, he seemed to think it’s redundant. 😀
