i have been many times, both before and after 9/11. The city that never sleeps was an interesting place to visit.
My second fun video today is of the iconic Times Square, but a different take. Times Square over time!

My all-time favorite NYC story has to do with my wife and kids. During spring break when I was on a project in NYC they kids and my wife came with me. We drove to New York from Indianapolis. Ok let’s be transparent we drove to New Jersey.
my wife and kids spent the week seeing NYC. I was working. Then in the evenings, we went out for dinner. I was working in Jersey City, we were staying in Newark and they got to wander NYC!

It’s the strangest thing. I would NEVER EVER want to live in New York. But if any stranger asked me “What’s the coolest city in the USA that they absolutely MUST VISIT?” I’d tell them New York City.
i would honestly tell them Seattle, then Austin personally
Seattle and Austin are on my list too. But neither of them has the Statue of Liberty. You gotta see the Green Lady,
i love the space needle, and wandering all the jazz dives downtown Austin!

YES, YOU ARE RIGHT I WAS BORN IN NEW YORK CITY IN THE UPPER EAST SIDE hehehehe. I have been twice to New York City. I spent one week in Manhattan, I was on holidays and it was great. I had a great time but it is prepared for tourists. I guess living in other parts of New York City must be different. I only saw Manhattan. It was a great holiday. The hotel was near Madison Square Garden. It was great. A great experience.
over the years I have stayed all over NYC (and in Jersey City and Newark). It is a vibrant city!
But who was born in New York then if you were not talking about me???? Can you tell? I would love to see the entire city. It must be wonderful.
RasmaSandra was born in NYC!
It is great to have here someone from NYC!!!!
and Spain and many other places! it is nice to be a global platform.
This is a video of NYC in 1956 my parents arrived in NY Harbor in 1951 and I came along in 1957

Just love those cars and fashions
that is such a cool video! I figured i would dedicate NYC to you, as you love the city!!!
Thank you, Doc however as much as I would like to see NYC at least once more, believe me, I am glad I am not there during this virus horror. You just cannot get too far from people in NYC
i remember that – we stayed in Jersey City but often had to go to Manhattan. We rode on subway cars that were crammed full of people every day.
It’s so interesting to see the city through the years.
double time-lapse both time and picture frames!
It’s a stunning place. I guess the wife and kids enjoyed it a lot.
they had a blast 5 days in NYC – perfect!
Very sad what is going on in NY right now. I hope they come out of this soon. Nothing will be the same.
nothing will be the same. I wonder what happens with Broadway, it has been dark for two months lots of unemployed people.
I know, it is very sad. This will be a challenge everywhere.
i suspect the pain is coming, but hopefully it is a bump in the road and not a wall.
Sad to see the virus hit this city so badly.
it is a city that has a lot of connections around the world. it really is horrible to watch the virus in the city.
will we again trust travelers in the world?
Will travel remain the same anymore? I wonder. I for one will find it difficult to trust a public transport again.
i honestly do not know. my gut says no.
