There was a Christmas morning that changed everything for me. The day, Christmas began like any other Christmas, my sister and I rushed downstairs. My littlest sister was not yet in the picture, she would join us after next Christmas.
There was a box for me. It was a big box and it contained an Erector Set. Over the course of the next year, I built so many cool things (a car, a tower and so much more). It, the Erector set was the first toy i had that wasn’t one thing it could be anything.
It is one of my favorite toys. The Erector set was metal and came in the days before the Lego craze!

Dustin had tons of Legos. And blocks and lots of dirt to play in.
when we moved from Indiana to Maryland the twins decided they were not going to take their car collection with them.
we found a place that wanted them.
SO the twins started bringing them downstairs, they had many more cars than we expected.
I didn’t have a lot of toys just some doll. My son had the most cars. The carriages didn’t interest him too much.
i can understand that – that erector set was the only thing I got that year, and I played with it for months@!
You always played Tinker-toy with me. You could build interesting things from this set. Great set you have shared.
i loved tinker toys! I built the push pedal car, but had to take it apart. then I built a tower. i love the kit!
