It is a strange wish I realize but one that i have long wanted to do!
Sticking with this new mini-theme Hot Air Ballons, there is a festival every year in the US State of New Mexico. Not that Mexico was old when the state was founded. Or that the people couldn’t come up with an original name. Just that it was New Mexico. Just like the city of New Amsterdam became the city of York, New or New York!

Hot air Balloons look like flowers rising!
The car in the picture is a Toyota Highlander. It was the first Hybrid car we ever owned. We got the car and the dealer added a trailer hitch. Less than a year later we moved to Maryland and drove this car from Indiana to Maryland.
Why then or how then can I fit a story into that? Well, this was the car that the kids and I drove to Maryland. My wife had to stay one more day to finish up the packing of the house. The kids and I took a Uhaul trailer, The Toyota Highlander, and our only dog at that time Fran and drove the day before my wife would leave Indiana. It seems only fitting that my wife, the first Hoosier in our family was the last to leave Indiana.
Fran sat in the back. My daughter rode in the front with me and the Twins sat in the back with Fran. Fran managed to take more than 1/3 of the back seat, forcing the twins into the corners of the back seat!

My biggest move was from Latvia back to the US and of course the reverse when I went there in 1994. I hate cars that have tiny backseat because I always feel like I am squished in and trapped. I love SUVs because they make me feel like I am sitting on a sofa while riding in a car.
there are so many black SUVs in the Washington DC area it is now a generic car!
we did something similar (US to Thailand and then Thailand to US) it is a different kind of move overall.
I suppose balloon rides should be very interesting. But I don’t know if I would have opted for such a ride.
I am hoping to ride in a balloon, floating over the world as I go by!
Toyota is a great car. Would love to be in a hot air ballon now.

That’s amazing! I have been wanting to see the balloons in Cappadocia since I love rock formations too.
i want to fly in one really bad!!!
