One more Steve Martin – fits the world we live in. Waiters must wash hands. the absent-minded waiter!

The first car I purchased. It was an Olds 98. The car was a boat. Literally huge. The engine of the car was the old 455 v8.
what did that mean? Honestly, it meant you didn’t get miles per gallon, you got gallons per mile (not true really but it sounds good).
we routinely would back then, go to see the Rocky Horror Picture show. The Olds took 5 people and me comfortably from the restaurant where we worked to the theater. That car was a boat!
Anyone can join the newly combined just for fun and car crazy challenge – tell a story about a car you owned, and share some funny, relaxing or entertaining videos!

Great interview, and the absent minded waiter was super funny too. You saw a few of my boats from the past. Parallel parking was hard for me in those. I love tiny cars!
i had a smart car for a year, loved it, but was terrified driving on the highways around DC.
Oh cool. My friend had one. And yes, driving around DC in one? Oh boy, I can see why. Ever feel like you were in a paper boat in a ships path?
my smart car was a glow in the dark paint job (not my choosing) i came home one night after nearly being run off the road by 3 different SUV’s and told my wife I was done.
Dang, so the glowing color didnt help huh? DC traffic is what nightmares are made of, and they say LA traffic is bad. Not even close to DC.
LA, New York, Miami, Chicago (Downtown) and DC
sadly I’ve driven in all of them they are all bad.
Boston is the worst.
Ah, that is one Ive never had the pleasure to drive. My best friend is from MA, she just sent me a picture of a sign on the side of the road upon entering MA. It read, Stay wicked fah apaht!
which is what I did wicked fah from everyone with an MA license plate! it didn’t help.
Q: DID YOU EVER OWN A HUGE CAR?
Yes (4 votes) – 57%
No (3 votes) – 43%
Q: ARE POLLS WORKING WITHOUT MULTIPLE REFRESHES?
Yes (2 votes) – 40%
No (3 votes) – 60%
My parents never had a car. I remember a childhood friend whose father would buy a new used car every year and he said that saved him from many problems like repairs. You drive one for a year and then just switch off to another. I went through many of them like Buicks, Pontiacs, Chryslers, and others
cars in NYC are not as big a deal as they are in Indiana! you could walk 3 blocks to a subway. The only subway in the cities I lived in early in life, was the L in Chicago. The L was a lifeline when I was little.
Hmm, beautiful and its amazing post
thanks – what did you like the most?
Steve Martin Hilarious interview!!! (+_+)
he is a very funny guy I agree
For some reason, I always prefer huge cars, I told Vidocka, maybe because I was thin.
Your invitation to tell the experience with a car that I have maybe I can do but looking for videos as you mean it might be a problem for me… 🙄😕
i would love to read your car experiences, pal! I remember you talking about taking Jeeps and off-roading.
the videos are not a requirement – just post some of your beautiful restful art!
Then does the photo of the car should be a real photo? I don’t have any photos of all the cars that I have ever had.
i did one time only because I had the picture. I search pictures of the cars on the internet this one and the others are not my pictures (the ford escort was my picture)!
I see… I understand completely, Doc.
i am happy to help and inform!
I’m starting to think of a story that I deserve to write for your challenges now…
i look forward to the story!
Done. I posted it around a hour ago.
I didn’t have a big car yet. I prefer smaller cars. I used it mostly for purchases and trips. Our country is very small.
i prefer mid-sized and smaller cars now as well. Living in a city, the big car is hard to park.
We had a Buick Electra 225 growing up. It was like a limo!
The polls are working normal for me.. for now.
it seems they are working again.
A Buick Electra, that was a cool car!
Yes I slept in the back window on trips.
we had a dog that always got into the back window of our sedan. When we got the new station wagon (we had two for a while) she slept in the middle of the back seat. So one of us had to ride backward in the way back
I was the smallest, so I got the seat. 🙂
i was the oldest, I rode backwards.
I have never had a big vehicle like that, dear friend …. in Europe, big cars are more an exception
they are in the US now, that car was huge. I used to transport people all the time in that massive car.
i just couldn’t afford the gas, even at a dollar a gallon!
This car looks great just not for our roads and our situation …. gasoline is very expensive with us, dear friend
So when I bought this car gasoline was 50 cents a gallon. It was expensive but I could afford it.
then the second OPEC crisis hit and gas went to 1.24 a gallon. It was too much. Then, i won’t 100 gallons of free gas.
so life was good for awhile. Except my dad implemented a 20 free gallons of the gas tax for my parking in his driveway. 80 gallons of free gas was nice though!
With us the price of gasoline is now 1 euro … until recently the price was $ 1.30
1 euro per liter right?
your prices are a little higher than in the US. But not a lot now.
Now in crisis it has already dropped twice … last time it was so cheap in 2008 …. liter is one euro
it is amazing, i am going out to fill up every gas tank I own right now!!!!
You’re driving on gas? I have never driven on gas …. the investment is quite expensive and gas is not that cheap anymore
yup all the cars I own now are gas. I had a diesel many years ago, loved it!
I only had petrol … I didn’t have any diesel
petrol is called gas in the us. sorry about that.
Well, we got to the bottom of it ….. we finally understood each other …. now I understand you
not an issue my friend. i figured it was a simple word issue!
Yes , I have my very good car
i am glad to hear that, may I ask what kind of car you have?
Thanks for always taking care to post fun content! The default answers in the poll seem to be working without problems lately.
it does feel like polls are creeping back. I am going to keep refreshing for now!
happy to share fun stuff, we all need to laugh now!
