Today I want to share with you pictures of the tree I love the most Java cassia. The Java cassia or the cassia Javanica is known by various other names such as pink shower, apple blossom tree and rainbow shower tree. It is a show stopper on all counts. These trees belong to the tropic and sub tropical regions. I would put it right on top of the most beautiful trees in Asia.
In May/June these beautiful trees look like canopies of pink flowers. The java cassia is a deciduous tree and in spring around March these tree look so perfect with their emerald green canopy of leaves. These trees come into bloom by the end of April which last until August.
It is a medium sized tree grows upto 30 feet in height. It is a fast grower and starts to bloom within the second year of planting a sapling. It loves a hot and humid climate . It is planted for its shade and ornamental value.
The seed pods of this trees are about a foot or more longer , cylindrical, hard and black in color. There are various cultivars of this tree available now, one of them is the rainbow cassia which has colors like red , pink yellow white and green in them.
The wood is used in furniture making and construction. The bark is used for tanning hides. The seed pods are used in traditional medicine in Malaysia.

Such a gorgeous tree! I don’t think I have seen it before.
It is a tropical tree and yes, it is my on the top of my list of favorite trees.
How beautiful, I have never seen this one before.
I am glad you like it.
It depends a lot on the climate to grow this tree anywhere in the world.
That is true, it needs tropical or subtropical kind of weather to grow.
Unfortunately, a very nice tree would not grow here, dear friend
But then you have your pear trees, cherry trees and apple trees to make up for it. 🙂
Hahaha … but this fruit grows with us, dear Dawn
