I am not a big fan of small plants. Our garden has many large trees, and the ample shade provided by the trees gives relief from the Sun. Most small plants find it difficult to survive under the shade. Luckily, we could find few spots with access to direct sunlight. My wife grows a few flowering plants in such sunlit spots. This Jasmine plant was her idea and creation in the garden. It was a pleasant sight for us when it bloomed for the very first time. It looked pristine, gorgeous and as white as milk. In addition, it has a very pleasant smell.

I have identified a few species of small plants that could survive in the shade. Silver Quill is one such plant that can survive in the shade and needs little watering. I will do a post on this later.
