Introducing Cats: No.5 – Piggy

It’s been a while since I’ve written my last post about cats. To be precise, about Freddy. Now, it’s Piggy’s turn to be introduced, as Freddy’s younger brother. Well, a few hours younger, but still….

Piggy was the biggest, though the youngest of these four boys. Dushica gave birth of them one cold day on March, in a warm room, on an armchair, while I was her midwife (as usual) and my daughter held Freddy and George (two older kittens), while Piggy and Leo were born. All four boys were healthy and strong so we were more than happy. Dushica were devoted, but not too cheerful. Four boys meant all day feeding…..

Since he opened his eyes for the first time, everyone who looked at them fell under his spell. Those gorgeous big eyes capture everyone’s hart in a second. But this is not all regarding his appearance. His fur has such a beautiful pattern, similar to Freddy’s, but with addition of white, so this make one wonderful contrast. Although considerable bigger than all the other cats, he is so cuddling and gentle. Well, not so gentle when he jumps from the tree right on my shoulder in order to rub his nose against my cheek. He seizes every chance for cuddling, regardless I am prepared or not. Sometimes, because of his size, he jumps clumsily and that’s why I don’t wear anything that reveals shoulders. Claw marks are my new fashionable addition. πŸ˜€

Piggy likes to observe surrounding from the highest point he can find. While we were in the city, he used to sit on wardrobes and closets, as well as on the top of opened doors and windows but now, he has trees. The highest and the tiniest twig is always his first choice. My daughter and I have always called him ”hawk eye”, so he might thought he is actually a hawk. I have no better explanation.

Piggy is a big fan of walking. That’s why he sits on my shoulders while I’m moving around the house, or do some gardening. He has no complaints until I sit down. That’s the moment he jumps and runs out as fast as he can, straight Β on his favorite tree.

There is a lot of fun in my life with this fabulous cat. Enough to write a book. Still, Piggy is only five years old, so I’ll wait few years more to have stories the world have never heard of.

  1. Hello Zaklina, Your animal friends are amazing, and so is your country, Serbia, my wife and I have a mixed breed female dog called Anana. But, since we moved to my brother in law, (all of us are retired) we have their 6 dogs and 2 cats spending more time with us than at their own home, which is on the same property. They always have to be called over and over again, perhaps we give them too much attention. PS. Thank you for reading my articles, I appreciate it.
