Intellectual property protection

Intellectual property means the things that we create like music and songs, poems, paintings and other artworks. It can also include architectural designs. It is said that the government should protect the intellectual works to encourage people to create more. The idea is like when people would use your songs just like that then you might get tired of composing new songs. But if you get paid when your composition is used then it is a great motivating factor.

Copyright is the same as patent for an invention. You get to own the rights to your creation. The World Intellectual Property Office is funded by the United Nations for purposes of encouraging countries to organize their own non-profit organizations for the protection of  copyright for songs, and other creations that includes movies and printed stories like novels. Now the creators are protected by receiving royalty payments from those who are using their creations.
