Independence Day – versus

Did you celebrate independance day today? I realize that not all of my fellow Virilians are from the US and may not wish to observe this day. I also realize that Virilian is extremely awkward term (although the proper form) and should be replaced with anything better, if we can find something better

  1. I am from the United States and I do celebrate this day with a picnic or go to a town festival and stay till they put off fireworks. When I was younger we used to with sparklers and firecrackers and a few others like snakes ( a small piece of charcoal that when lit would expand like a snake. That is about it.

  2. I’m not from the United States so I did not celebrate. Can I ask you which country you are (I have been guessing for some time, but I can not guess ?)

  3. July 4th is a funny holiday. The declaration of independence was signed on the 2nd. The constitution wasn’t signed and in place for 10 years (we existed under the articles of confederation for the first 10 years.)

I have been around the world. I have been to many countries. I celebrate those who fought so that the rest of us could be free.

    Funny day though…
