In the past few years in the United States we can’t seem to get the difference between a demonstration and a riot. They are very different things.  Let’s take a look at the full dictionary options.

  1. I only answered #3 and want to explain why.

    I don’t like the concept of hate speech or hate crimes. They are too vague. Too often something can be deemed hate speech just because the listener doesn’t agree. This is becoming more and more common on college campuses in America.

    I don’t think we need to agree on every single piece of minutia to participate in a demonstration but the intolerance of the left in America demands exactly that more and more.

    Yes, I have participated in demonstrations. I protested (peacefully) against the war in Vietnam. I have also protested against abortion and have participated in two Tea Party demonstrations.

      • I really have nothing against the military. We need them and I am grateful to those who serve. My father fought in WW2. I just didn’t think we had any business being in Vietnam. Due to my eyesight, I would not have been accepted even if I had volunteered.
