I find myself more and more frustrated every day. People die. It’s hard. It’s tragic. Sometimes there is someone to blame. There are times when murders kill people.
I stand firm on my 2nd amendment rights.I received an email from a grieving parent. One particular statement is causing me struggle. I want to respond in a thoughtful and appropriate manner and as of yet I have not found that balance and voice. “The question is now: do I need guns to protect myself, or do I need to protect myself from guns?”
I don’t have an answer to that question because I do not believe everyone has guns for the same reasons. I have some guns to hunt with. Hunting is a part of my heritage. We learned life lessons. We spend time together as a family. We put food on the table. I want that for my grandchildren.
