Well, this guy came into my room and parked himself at the middle of the “walkway”, asking for death… So I shoot him! Fair enough?
Well, he didn’t die because I shot him with my camera… hahaha, ok bad joke.
Anyway, I’ve to get really close (like 2-3 cm) to him before I can get a sharp enough image … I was practically harassing him all the time … but funny, he seems to enjoy getting shot… His only retaliation is moving his feelers and moving that small step away. (I think me jumping because he moved was far more than his movement)

Insects tend to look very cute when very close! ?
Great photos you took. ?
Cute!? Well, he is definitely not my idea of cute … :.|
Thanks for teh compliment 🙂
LOL Look at those eyes, and that… moustache. ??
Oh… oh … You know I prefer guys without facial hair … :p
Oh okay, that makes sense now. ?
We always do not have good recordings especially for insects
Insects are quite small hence hard to capture well …
I guess you need some lenses
You have not been subjected to hypnosis. Hahaha. You made him a lot of pictures.
Yap, I harassed him for quite a while … :’D
My God, you must have the patience and dexterity of an angel to have taken this many pictures of a single grasshopper. Your photographic epic efforts are well rewarded with all the comments and views you received. The grasshopper unfortunately will not reap such good fortune as you unless you keep her or him as a pet… Congratulations on this picture shoot…
Lol, thanks for the compliment 🙂
And you’re one of them that rewarded me by visiting and commenting 🙂
I was just fooling around with my “new” lens …
Ah… I won’t get to keep him as a pet …
but I thank him …
I shot the grasshopper, but I did not shoot the cricket…
LOL, I thought you’ll shoot everything :p
crickets are lucky, I don’t shoot them or bats
Ah, I see …
I don’t think I wanna see a bat this up close :/
that is what zoom is for, silly girl
The 3rd one was even cute for a grasshopper lol. This was a great fun post, to the end of the chase lol.
Lol, really? Thanks… but…
I’m still pretty afraid of grasshopper …
his eyes are … very alien-like to me …
Well, I think you owe this grasshopper a talent fee for modelling for you. Lovely photos!
Yeah, I do… but I guess I’ll have to owe him for life … :/
I tried to refrain from laughing out loud to imagine you jumped in surprise when the guy moved until you allowed me to do it.
Btw, your effort seems to be more successful.
Well, laughter is a go medicine… and holding back laughter will give internal injury … so I won’t be so mean as to not let you laugh for 3 seconds!
hahahaha
and thank you 🙂
OK! Three seconds is enough for me! Thank you!
I like the dark ones, it shows off his details.
I realised that is the best angle too but well, I’m kinda afraid to get close from that angle …
if he leaps I’m gonna throw my phone … haha
Lol, thanks … tasartcraft
I love grasshoppers especially the ones which have an army’s uniform colour.
Hmm… the green ones, you mean?
Not the green ones. I don’t like them. The ones whose colour closely matches those of US army uniform. Kind of. I used to play in with them when I was young and would feed them with a piece of grass. Their body length is longer than the one you took photo.
They are very good pictures dear friend … animals are difficult to paint more closely
Â
Thank you, lado, glad you find them good! 🙂
With great pleasure my friend
Nice shot of the Grass Hopper
Thank you, Pamela 🙂
