I bought this book after I watched the movie “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”, I suppose it was in year 2005. I enjoyed the movie very much and I thought I’d enjoy reading the book as well. I didn’t really pick up the book after I bought it, it was just sitting in my book shelf for years.
I rediscovered this book when I was organizing my book shelf. I introduced this book to my eldest son. He enjoyed the book, and I continued to buy the other books in the series for him. He finished all the books, and he kept asking me to read them. After another few months, I finally picked up the book, and I couldn’t stop reading it. I continued to read the second book too. I haven’t been reading novels for years, as I usually read books about parenting or homeschooling in these few years. I actually rarely read English books, except when I needed to.
I am going to finish the whole series, as I really enjoyed the stories.

Reading novels has taken a back seat in my life after the arrival of the Internet.
It’s a long time since I read the Narnia books, but you are quite right to recognise their worth.
