Lolly our pet cat is gentle. I do not blame him if he runs up the tree seeing this cat that you see in the photo coming towards him.
Strangely this cat leaves our other cats alone but not Lolly. I am in a way glad that Lolly does not confront him and if he did he would certainly get bruises all over. And treating bruises on cats is no easy feat.
We have had stray tom cats visiting us and I have seen how they fought with each other. We had to call in a Vet one day but after the Vet treated him we never saw him again.

I have seen cats fighting. With their sharp claws, they do hurt each other badly.
It is very upsetting to see them suffer and being wild we cannot even treat them.
Yes, unless they are badly injured they don’t like to be treated or touched.

I don’t see tomcats fight as often as I hear them. There are a lot of stray cats in our neighborhood and I can often hear them squabbling late at night.
Some of them are sure to get bruised. Lolly happily does not confront – good for him
