Today the children saw destruction first hand. First I asked nicely. Then I became stern. Then I removed the chair. He went and brought it back in as soon as I left the room. I didn’t yell. I didn’t scream. I simply got the ax and chopped up the chair and said “problem solved”.
My husband said it was a little extreme. My favorite answer popped out. “Probably so, and you could have help to prevent it.”

I never chopped a chair to be honest.
I only chopped up chairs in videogames, I think. 😀
I have had to chop up some chairs that beyond repair to be thrown into the garbage can.
