How Online Activities Changed Your Life?

I cannot contain the happiness to myself as I review my online activities. For the past 2 years, I know I made some great improvement in terms of online income. I remember my struggles during my first years in the online field. I never thought I would reach this far.

The only thing I regret is that no one among my friends was able to accompany me to this point. I tried. But I guess this is not their interest. Perhaps I am different. But I’d rather be different in a way as long as I do what makes me happy and I am not doing harm to anybody.

My online activity is helping me in two ways: as a stress reliever and as a source of additional income. Not to mention the different skills and knowledge that I acquired because of continuous research and reading other people’s contents.

I was checking my PayPal account this morning and saw another payment from a Forum Site. My first quarter earnings came mostly from writing. Yes, writing online is my main source of online income. The first quarter of 2019 has made me several hundred from different sources such as a forum, third-party writing site, sale of an ebook and some simple tasks.

I am hoping to be more active with Virily so that I may be able to receive my first earning here.

  1. As many have indicated the compensation for the time spent is too little so online activities remain more of a hobby/time-pass for me

      • I also enjoy Virily and I have written several articles about it. But it does not end there. I need to continue because I need to prove those things. I write for several sites and I have my own blog. I come not only to enjoy but to get additional income and probably learn how the big players are making money online.

  2. I have a rule, separating my online life and my “real life” because I saw this new world coming. I am one of the people that helped build this new world so it is my fault, but I also was one of the people that realized there needed to be a clear separation.

    • I have the same mindset. But as I observe others and colleagues, I noticed that they are posting both their work and personal life on social media. And maybe because they get too excited about the new things they learned, they tend to create chat groups, personal friends based on interest, sections, programs, etc. In short, I am included in a lot of chat groups. I think it’s rude if I leave a group. So what I did, I muted all the group chats and individual chat and I created a new facebook account for my online work. My life is more peaceful with this current setup.

      • It becomes an interesting problem overall. I share images and memories of the past, but I am careful to keep PII out of the posts. I see people posting PII all the time and I caution them offline.

You can share too much! But you can also share too little.

Someday we will have a balance~

  3. I’m online in my free time. I am very interested in meeting new friends, getting to know their traditions, chatting a little bit, etc. I’m not here because of the money, but I’m happy when I earn a dollar. ?

    • I know many of the members here in Virily are active on the site for the purpose other than making money. I hope I am one of those wonderful people. Thank you for dropping by.

        • I can’t thank you enough, Lado. I am also happy to know friends from other parts of the world. That part of the world where I dream to visit. I hope it wouldn’t be just a dream. This is the reason why I am working so hard.

  5. I am not a full-time online earner but given my love of writing, I’ll consider it very much even though I don’t know what I will choose to do yet. Besides that, all this time my activities at Virily were only to find friends in the global community.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding this topic. I only devote a certain portion of my time to work online. I need to do this basically because I need to get additional income to support my family. My salary from my offline job is not enough so this is the thing that I thought of doing. The little amount that I can earn is a big help considering the exchange rate (1:50). But more than the amount I can earn, I can gain new knowledge, new friends and experience. these are the things that cannot be bought by any amount. Thank you for dropping by.

      • Yes, looking for extra income through online seems most likely at the moment. But I really am not so sure that writing in the online world can be an adequate source of income unless you may become a vlogger or youtuber. Unfortunately, I no longer want to expose myself that way.

        • It may not be a big amount considering the limited time I have. I don’t have the courage to become a vlogger too. But I write blogs for third-party sites which can help me earn a little extra as you may call it. I also have my own blog where I am still trying to figure out how it could help increase my current earnings.
