I hardly indulge in expensive food, even though I sometimes reward myself by eating better food or bubble tea (hehe)!! But that doesn’t mean I’ll spend over 60 (~USD44) on a meal! I try to keep things within 30 if possible, unless its for special event (like birthdays and such).
But to some, eating over 10 (~USD8) or 20 (~USD15) per meal can be consider “spendthrift” and is frown upon … Everyone have their own idea about spending money.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I am returning the favor two fold.
I sometimes wonder how much is too much.
For special occasions, we definitely go higher.
I wonder too … some thinks a McDonald’s meal is too much …
that I really cannot agree …
we have better food for special occasions too.
expensive food is funny if you spend 100 dollars on a meal for 10 people it is really not expensive.
but 100 dollars for one person, that is a lot!
I don’t eat much and so I don’t like to spend too much money on food. Food is always the biggest problem because you need it and it has become expensive. I remember one Christmas back in Latvia we chose to have a big meal and no champagne or wine which we usually had because we could not afford both. So it was either sit and drink or sit and eat and we chose to eat,
I agree food has become more expensive… perhaps its because people are more willing to spend on food and wants more variations.
Uh, that is pretty unfortunate. I hope you can find a restaurant this Christmas that let you have abundance of both!! 😀
For special meals it is worth a little extra.
I agree! And sometimes its about who you’re with
I prepare the food at home. I go to a restaurant when there are parties.
I see!
Sometimes we get lazy 🙂
I enjoy eating out but cooking at home is just as rewarding. My husband and I will allow spending a little more for a special celebration when eating out.
That’s nice to know!
Some of my favourite food takes too much ingredients to cook or is difficult to cook, so we usually have to buy that!
