Hope

Sometimes I have to remind myself to hold onto to the hope to get through life’s obstacles. Many things happen in life to all of us. We get through the best way we can, in our own way.

I have many memories that keep me going on most days. Some days are difficult. Those are the days I have to hold onto the hope. Hope that I will see those I have lost again one day. I question that a lot. But I have to push through my thoughts and hold onto to that belief I have of being reunited. I am not talking religion. Only reality. My reality is if I believe I will never see my son again, I am done. Simple as that.

When I say enjoy the little things and tell those you love how you feel, I truly mean for you to do that. It is important. We never know what the next moment holds.

  • Do you have a belief system that gets you through life?

    • Yes
    • No

  1. Hope runs eternal, there is always hope. Sadness comes to us all, but those times soon pass.
Hope is there as a good solid fact, that in the end, everything will work out for the good.

  2. Well… I guess I’m still looking or setting up a more complete and firm believe system…
I guess sometimes finding that hope is not easy … but we still have to do it …

  3. Life is full of ups and downs … of beautiful and sad memories … I have the luck that the past does not burden me and I only want to remember the beautiful memories

    • You are right Albert. Life can throw some hard curveballs and it can cause a back and forth motion in your foundation. But I am a survivor.

        • Funny, when I read your comment I thought about the word survivor in reality. I have always used that word to describe me after losing Dustin. But for the first time I looked up the meaning and this is what I found… Makes sense to me.

The definition of a survivor is a person who copes with a bad situation or affliction and who gets through, or a person who manages to live through a situation that often causes death.

  4. Yes life can be hard and eventful whether good or bad. But you have to forge ahead and continue your life path as long as you can. At least that is my philosophy. BTW the hanging you have in the picture is one of the cutest I have seen in a while and is sure reminiscent of hope…

    • Very kind and supportive words my friend. The bad days just get me from time to time. But I get back up each time and take steps forward. This plaque hangs in my screen room so I can read it daily. It has helped many times. Thank you for your continued support, it is appreciated.

  5. In our lives, we experience beautiful and difficult moments. I do not know why, but I always remember hard moments and I can not get them out of my head. Sometimes I need a lot of time to get back to normal again.

    • We seem to be on the same page my friend. It is hard to move forward sometimes but I keep pushing. We will have to continue supporting each other. Message me any time on here if you need to talk. I can listen if nothing else.

      • I agree, dear Carol. I also noticed that we have similar life experiences and, consequently, similar consequences. Sometimes it’s really difficult, but I do not have anything left to fight. Thank you for offering help, sometimes even the conversation helps a lot. You can also contact me at any time.

  6. We have different periods in life and we must never give up because everything passes or at least changes… What is the hardest for me is that I will never see again some of my dear relatives because they are not alive… But I feel they are always inside my heart…
Life is not stable, changes are inevitable. In some respects we can be masters of our lives, in other areas we cannot control. Hope, wisdom, determination, forgiveness and love will lead us our way. And I think I learn every day how to live, to survive… 🙂

    • Yes it easy to say and you are right, but when those difficult times hits you and knocks you down it can be hard to get back up. But I am doing that and consider myself a survivor. I will continue pushing through. Losing my son (Mom, Dad, and siblings as well) is my issue. No matter the time that has passes, it never gets easier. I am learning how to push through but that forever pain takes your breath away. Thank you so much for your words, they have helped.
