Honey is Healthy

Sticky sweet and syrupy honey can be enjoyed in many different ways. The best thing about it is that unlike sugar it is healthy for us. We can use it as a sweetener for many different liquids among them tea. When I hear about honey I think of that popular bear – Winnie the Pooh. To get honey you just have to have bees that gather nectar from flower to flower.

The honey collecting process is a most fascinating one. Bees collect nectar from flowers with their mouths mixing it with bee saliva and once stored it turns into honey. Honeybees make propolis by combining plant resins with their own secretions. The phytonutrients in honey and in propolis are known to have cancer-preventing and anti-tumor properties.
