We recently created a work activity called “Hiding in Plain Sight”. It was about how often coworkers camouflage their talents. Some do it because they are shy and unaware that they have extraordinary skills. They stand in the background and their job well. If you added just a bit of extra confidence they could really take off and lead a group in a positive direction.
Today at work we are seeking out those who are hiding in plain sight, recognizing them and giving them some praise and encouragement. I am thinking it will be a very fun day. I can hardly wait to see what happens when these people are surprised.
