Taking a break from work is an important aspect of life that every individual should consider in order to achieve a work-life balance. It can help us relieve from work-related stress caused by doing routinary tasks. Being exposed to stress for a long time that our body can handle may lead to several health problems.   1. I prefer long breaks about 15 days. The families of my children are far away. Even these days are a little for me to be with grandchildren.

  2. My luck now, over the past few years has been free to determine when to break, long or short, even though sometimes it has to be rescheduling because there are other things that enter “important and urgent” areas.

  3. When I was active, I always took the time for active vacation … if the option was 1 month together … even now I take time to leave and go to the sea … at least 14 days

    • Thank you for dropping by, Anastasia. Same here. My work, won’t allow me to have long breaks. I am happy if I can insert some forced leave in between holidays.

  4. I am on a longer break than what you have suggested. My break started in 2nd week of February and will go on until August end. I will join my work in first week of September therefore enjoying a long break but little active online.

  5. I read a great article by a Doctor about sitting. That sitting for 2-3 hours at a time is really bad for you. So my rule is, I get up and walk around every hour!

    • For me, I think 4 to 7 days would be fine. That would be enough for me to take some rest and enjoy waking up at my own time without worrying about being late for work.
