Harvest Moon, means the full moon on the horizon which is approaching autumn. It is also a way to announce the end of the summer season and to report the arrival of winter.
Harvest moon is also known as corn moon. The reason for this is that the corn harvest season is running on September days. During these days the moon usually rises by a delay of fifty minutes and remains bright for a long time and due to this farmer are easy to harvest till late night and they can continue their work till nightfall.
In the past, the importance of this moon was immense because of the lack of machinery. This harvest moon was sighted on 13 September last week. Now this harvest moon could be sight in 2033.
