Harley is a pit bull belonging to my daughter, Rachel, and her husband, Frank. Pit bulls have a reputation for being nasty but they were actually bred to babysit children. Harley is incredibly friendly. The only way she would hurt you is if you were very allergic to slobber.
Editing was done using Luminar Flex 1.1. I used the Develop filter to increase the contrast, shadows and clarity and reduce highlights. Then I added the Accent AI filter and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone. I increased the vibrance (Saturation / Vibrance filter) and the Structure filter with a mask so that only the dog was sharpened. Next I added the Orton filter and a vignette. Lastly I used the Erase tool to get rid of some distractions.

Coming back around to visit Harley. What a beauty!
Such a cutie! We had a pit bull in the past and he was the kindest pet towards people and smaller animals. However, he hated other dogs.
Some dogs are like that. A neighbor has a Pit Bull/Boston Terrier mix that hates other dogs.
Yes, it’s in their DNA, they were breed for dog fights, I believe.
Actually, the pit bull was bred to babysit children. Unless trained to fight or badly mistreated, they are very gentle.
I believe a pitbull or any animal that is raised by a good person or persons will turn out to be a kind loving animal. It depends on how they are raised. I met a person that had a doberman before and her name was Donna. Dobermans also get a bad rap. Donna was the sweeting dog ever. It changed my mind about judging animals.
Exactly. When my wife was a teenager, she used to babysit for a family with a Doberman. The dog played with their kids. When it was running, it would stop and move the baby out of the way so that it didn’t get hurt.
I love dogs, but after a pitbull bit my son, I keep away from these dogs. I would only blame owners for not training their pets properly.
Any dog can bite if mistreated. (By the owner, not your son.) When it comes to nastiness, it’s hard to beat the Chihuahua.
Harley is just the cutest ever. He even looks like he’s smiling. It is so wong for these wonderful dogs to have such a bad reputation.
The problem isn’t the dogs, it’s the owners. Often these dogs are used for dog fighting.
