Happy grandparents’ Day

Feeling that you are loved. Feel that you are listened to. Feel they are spoiled. Feeling that grandparents are figures with whom they can always count. These are the benefits to the youngest of one of the most striking relationships that any individual can experience at an early age, taking these cherished memories for life.

Known as the second parents, accused of pamper too much and give to their grandchildren everything ‘what’ they sometimes denied to their own children, grandparents are for children a safe haven, a source of learning and above all unconditional love.

I think I’m one lucky because I have a grandmother, will be 90 in December, but I have good memories of all my grandparents, candy given when my parents weren’t, to play hide and seek with us, the tight hugs … my grandparents were the pillar of my childhood. Today although some are no longer with us, they will always be in our hearts. Happy grandparents day, my dear ones.

  1. My grandparents on my mother side passed away when my mom was 7 years old. Mom was orphaned from her mother (my Grandmother) when she was 7 months old. My mom’s other 5 siblings took care of her.

I had a not-so fond memories of my grandies on my father side.
