Down looks more natural. The weapon looks bigger than her!

there is an issue with the right arm that I don’t know how to fix…

but for some reason I voted the up … lol
I think its different though not practical
I would make the robot point down if only I knew how to fix the up pose for the girl
I voted for the down position since she looks better holding her weapon in front of her body.

You are correct since seeing the weapon in front of the lady means “Keep away.”
behind and over the shoulder means “go ahead and try it”
That is one slogan that hits the spot.
I voted for the down position. They both look great but that is my favorite.
I think down works best for a variety of reasons, compositionally and psychologically
