on greased rails
to explode past
and then
abruptly stop and
looking around
seek degrees, or escape.
Do not let it
slip away
off
into the darkness
grab the passing light
and hold it tight
clenched in fingers
and held in fists
bound against the passing
light
it cannot escape
what holds it
catch the passing light.
