God’s People Are Highly Favored

I have seen that those who wait upon the Lord are highly favored. Though they have to wait upon in patience, they are blessed with abundant blessings by the end. It is not so easy to remain patient along with God because the things of God are not understood easily by the world.

Even then, those who go against the odds and wait upon the Lord are His favorite. In God, there is no partiality, so God remains in favor of those who trust upon Him and wait for His presence. But this does not mean that He looks down upon those who do not trust Him.

In Bible, we have read that Jesus favored His disciple and loved Him.We have heard about the phrase, “the disciple whom Jesus loved” and in John 20:2, “the disciple beloved of Jesus”. So, this means that even Jesus favored a disciple among other disciples.

So, are you received this messages in Jesus Name, then, let’s say, “Amen”!

  1. Dear friend ahol888,

Am glad that you are commenting and putting forward your points. But I think I am too lazy to explain. I think I should learn to explain and express too.

I did not skip the steps because I took it all as one step.
    1. Wait on God. 2. Increased strength. 3. Positively influence others. (Waiting upon God)
    4. Favor from God. (Highly Favored)

Waiting upon God automatically includes increased strength and spreading the word of God. Even when we have increase in strength and when we are spreading the word of God positively, we are still waiting upon God’s favor. God’s favor happens only in the promised land. So, waiting for the promised land, we wait upon God with renewed strength and spreading word to encourage others to be with the Lord.

Does that make sense to you?

  2. To be technical, waiting on the Lord brings about increased strength. “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and he will strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” (Ps. 27:14). “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isa. 40:31). Favor from God comes when a person influences others not to commit transgressions. (I Sam. 2:22-26, Luke 2:40-52) In the I Samuel passage, Eli was berating his sons for committing debauchery in the temple. In contrast, Samuel was a positive influence to the people. In the Luke passage, Jesus already has all power, but did not receive favor from the Father until he taught in the synagogue by being a positive influence.

    • Yes, we have been highly favored because we obey Him, we do His works and we please Him with out faith. For me also, Jesus did not favor me until I accepted to work for Him. So, He made me confess that I will do His works and then came all His promises and blessings for me.

Like you have written that even Jesus was not favored until he started telling others about God our Father. God has a purpose and He favors us for His glory and for His name sake.

      • The thing is that you skipped steps. You posted that waiting upon God brings favor to a person without showing what steps are needed to be taken. I enjoy that your posts are intended to guide a person towards a better spiritual walk, but that walk should not be missing steps. 1. Wait on God. 2. Increased strength. 3. Positively influence others. 4. Favor from God. You went from step 1 to step 4 by skipping steps 2 and 3. I apologize for commenting. Please continue to write.
