From Whence it Comes

I always find it strange the things that catch my attention and then send me wandering here and there. Today it was the quote that is pictured. I love the quote  and just in case you can’t read it “The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can.”

I would guess most of us hope that something we write sometime will be helpful to someone in some way. That always reminds me of Erma Louise Bombeck. She was funny. I enjoyed her humor. If I was feeling really down I would set the timer for 20 minutes of my precious time and simply read anything that Erma Louise Bombeck wrote. I did it for years and then one day I stopped. Today I came across the quote and I thought “like Erma Louise Bombeck”.  I grabbed my timer and I set it for 20 minutes and read some Erma Louise Bombeck! It still works.

Now in the back of my mind I am thinking who is Neil Gaiman? Because of a quote he wrote I have been lead back in time, enjoyed 20 minutes and shifted my entire mood and it was like my day began over.
