I have these neighbors who always give us free food. They said there are too much food and they couldn’t finish them, and they don’t have young kids at home, hence they give the food to us. It seems like they have many friends visiting their house often, and they always hold parties, and hence there are lots of food.
Here’s the food they gave to us yesterday. It’s actually a gift box for celebrating a baby’s full moon. These are some traditional food that we might give away on a baby’s one month old. Red eggs seem to be the most traditional food to represent one’s birthday for Chinese. There are also roasted chicken and glutinous rice.
Thanks to my neighbors, I didn’t need to prepare for lunch yesterday.

This is really nice to hear about good neighborly relations. Unfortunately, I don’t have such “good” neighbors
We share birthday cakes and goodies with our neigbours. We used to have a neighbour with two small kids and the lady would have a tough time managing them and the housework. I tried to send some food for those kids every time i made something nice.
In my case it is we who share fruits with neighbours but not food.
You are lucky to have such a generous neighbor.
Nice to have a good relationship with your neighbors.
