Food Fit For a King

Here I was thinking that I ate some of the strangest food combinations. However, Elvis had me beat by a mile. Let us take a look at the menu for the King. You will be amazed at some of his favorite food combinations.

  • We have peanut butter and banana sandwich. It has to be made with just the right combination of peanut butter and bananas and it must include a slather of butter. If you are really into gourmet don’t forget to add honey and cinnamon sugar.
  • Once he tried the Fool’s Gold Loaf Elvis was in love. What is it? Well, hold on to your hats. For those of you who want to try it start making a grocery list. You will need one pound of bacon, one jar of peanut butter and one jar of jelly. All of this will then settle on a loaf of French bread that had been generously slathered with margarine.
  • Elvis loved to have rich and tender pound cake when it came to sweets.
  • He really enjoyed deep-fried dill pickles.

When he wasn’t traveling around Elvis was specific about the food that should be kept on hand. There had to be lean, ground beef, hamburger buns, rolls, ready to bake biscuits, pickles, potatoes, onions, shredded coconut, fudge cookies, assorted fresh fruit, canned sauerkraut, mustard, and peanut butter. His fridge always had bacon, milk, half and half, vanilla and chocolate ice cream and freshly squeezed orange juice.  Among his favorite soft drinks were Pepsi, Nesbitt’s Orange and Shasta Black Cherry.

There you have it a simple and easy to make diet.
