I value you what you did here.
Always good to see you Oscar, thanks for visiting my post.
Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately I can’t have the flu shot, I got it mildly around Christmas, I have a nine year old niece whose good at sharing lol. I frequently wash my hands, to avoid getting sick though!
Glad you only got a mild case hopefully you won’t get it at all next year.
The only way to avoid the flu is to maintain or improve the immune system and immune system, right? For that, we only have to live in the balance between work and rest, healthy food with all the nutritional benefits, and minimum sugar consumption.
Very interesting post and comments.
Great post Teila, thank you for sharing. Chicken soup, TLC, Tylenol and some early nights away from the laptop, works for me.
Zinc and Vitamin C and frequent hand washing.
Fabulous tips, thank you for sharing.
I take Acia concentrate several times everyday and this has helped me stay healthy
Keeping that immune system up seems to be the key! Thanks for commenting.
The trick I use to avoid flu is to exercise daily
Great advice, thank you for sharing.
Old family recipe- when you feel like you might be coming down with the flu, have a bowl of miso soup and a bottle of hot sake. Then bundle up and rest, it works every time for me…
A good immune system does wonders and washing your hands frequently is also recommended to kill the germs.
Good personal hygiene and avoiding crowds are an excellent way to keep from getting sick in the first place, but once you suspect infection then try my remedy. If you’re quick enough it should do the trick
I agree whole heartedly.
Of course, there is no substitute for a strong immune system
Unfortunately, I got the flu a few weeks ago. Looking forward to seeing everybody’s tips. Apparently mine don’t work that well, haha.
Oh no, well glad you are better now.
The flu in the US is at epidemic levels and is quite unusual this year. Normally, the flu hits the elderly the hardest, infants next, then children and young adults, and finally the people between 25-60. This year, it has hit the elderly the hardest, but the people between 25-60 are being hit the second hardest. That means that “baby-boomers” are more likely to get the flu than their grandkids. Normally, it is the other way around.
Interesting, thank you for sharing!
eat garlic and sour cabbage.
Excellent for fighting influenza
Interesting thanks for sharing.
It is a really bad flu season this year, so many children have died.
Thank you for commenting on the poll and participating. It is a shame that so many are losing their lives to it.
You are welcome, yes it is tragic.
I will be glad when this flu season is over.
The flu is a seasonal thing. One just have to boost his immune systems to avoid it.
True and I certainly agree with you.
