Fleabane ~ Macro Monday

While out watching the bluebirds today I noticed this weed in the yard. We get these every year but they are so small, the lawnmower always takes care of them.

I took a macro photo and decided to research and identify. And I found it fairly easily, as it is very common around pasture land. The weed is in the daisy family and is called annual fleabane. What a strange name. They grow in small clusters all over the yard.

Some weeds make very attractive flowers. I might try to keep the lawnmower away from this one in the future.

Maybe I should switch to growing weeds if my garden is not doing too well…

haha, they won’t die that easily, right?
