First Advent Sunday

According to the Catholic calendar, the Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. It’s Sunday between November 27th and December 3rd – this year it’s Sunday December 1st and is called the first Advent Sunday. Advent time ends after the fourth Advent Sunday – on Holy Night (the night before Christmas). A typical advent symbol is a four-candle advent wreath. On the first Advent Sunday, believers light one candle, on the second Sunday two candles, on the third three and on the fourth all four candles. The Advent wreath is widespread in many unbelievers as well – in this case often without candles.

    • Thank you for your visit and nice comment, dear Robin….I know that you celebrate Orthodox believers a little differently …. everyone has their own customs … we also have an Orthodox church in Ljubljana

          • If you come to Belgrade to reach Banovo Brdo, there is a Catholic church. There are also Catholic sisters who treat the sick.
They have a special building where they live.
And the Saint Sava Temple is the only Temple in Serbia and is truly grandiose.
And you can contact me to leave you my phone number and call me in Borca.
            Be my guest

          • Thank you very much, dear Robin …. for your kindness … we are definitely in a relationship and if I really decide it would be nice to meet and not have another coffee together
