Feather ~ Black & White Friday

Found this feather in my yard last week. I think it is a mockingbird feather. It is really cool to find a feather and try to identify where it came from. I see a lot of birds in my yard but from the size of this one, kind of small, and the colors gray and white, I came to the conclusion it is from a mockingbird.

Gray and grey are two different spellings of the same word, and both are used throughout the English speaking world. I often wonder which spelling to use. I suppose it is a personal preference.

  1. Wow, that’s perfect! ?
I tend to use “grey” the most because schools in Europe teach British English. There are words I prefer to say in American English, especially those that resemble my native language.

  2. Beautiful photo. Just yesterday I read a quote about feather, which more or less says that if you find it means your guardian angel is always watching over and guard you. I think you’ve also posted a kind of quote.
