Facts You Cannot Do Without

If you want a chuckle then I have chosen some amazing facts that will certainly at least bring a smile, make you shake your head, and probably wonder why you had to know this. They can however also be interesting and once you read them most likely some of them you won’t be able to forget.

Before Disney release their animated movie “Snow White” they had a hard time deciding what to name the seven dwarfs. The poor unsuspecting fellows were almost named Chesty, Tubby, Burpy, Deafy, Hickey, Wheezy, and Awful. I don’t think the movie would have been too good with these names.

If you ever wondered if the Sun-Maid Seedless Raisin box had a photo of an actual girl then the answer is yes, they did. The Sun-Maid Raisin girl was American model  Lorraine Collett Petersen.  She was born in 1892 and also starred in a movie called “The Trail of the Lonesome Pine”.

Having written some poems sitting at a table in a bar and sipping some wine this is a man I can truly admire. Thomas Jefferson wrote some of the Declaration of Independence in a Philadelphia tavern. You just have to have some added inspiration at times.

This is a fact that instantly gave me a chuckle. Obsession for Men by Calvin Klein has been used by researchers to attract wild animals to cameras in the wilderness.  Perhaps when using it, it brings out the beast in a man.

An Australian man with delusions of grandeur and riches tried to sell New Zealand on eBay in 2006. The price had risen to $3,000 oh, yes people were willing to buy at which point eBay shut it down.

  1. lol, wow. Where to start. This was fun. The names of the dwarfs were super bad, lol chesty. ahahahaha. Anyway… Then on to the girl on the box. She was so pretty, and I figured she had heard at some point in time that she was real. I think I was researching the baby on gerber baby foods when I read that. And Heck yea, I want to buy New Zealand. hahaha. You gotta give the guy credit in a way. Who’d ever think of that. I had a buddy one time that got kicked off of ebay for selling a picture of a Nintendo. The bids rose to 300 and something. In the ad, it clearly said a photo of the game. No one read the fine print. He did not accept any money but was just trying to prove a point. He still got kicked off. lol
