Chicago, Illinois (Loop/Downtown)
Pentax MX SMC-Pentax 50/1.4
Fujichrome 50 125/2.3
The photo was taken on Washington between Michigan and Wabash. They were filming a scene at the Chicago Public library Cultural Center which was being used as City Hall. This was for the scene where a man is murdered by being pushed off the roof.
Editing was done using On1 Photo RAW 2020. I used Auto for Tone and Color in Develop mode and used the ‘Urbex’ preset in the ‘Urban’ collection.

Have you ever watched a movie being filmed?

I have never been invited onto a set to watch a movies being filmed. But I did accidentally stumble across a scene that was being filmed for the old TV show “Miami Vice”.
I wasn’t invited. They were filming outside the office I worked at. I was just going out for lunch.
The thing that tickles me is that where I worked there were always opportunities to see a TV show being filmed but I never met any of the celebrities. My husband who was just hanging around waiting for me to come out from my job met Don Johnson! I mean he was literally standing right next to him and said “Hey! You’re Don Johnson!” Of course, by the time I came outside from my job, everybody on the set was gone! LOL.
LOL. The only movie or TV star I ever met was Bob Crane, Hogan in Hogan’s Heroes. I have seen Mel Gibson and Sean Connery from a distance while they were filming.
This is a Great to See.
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
This would be very cool to see. Nicely done on the photo as always.
Thanks. The guy in the truck was an extra. As soon as he saw my camera, he got into role.
Very cool, the driver just fits in well with the photo.
I used to work with a guy who accidentally walked into a movie shoot and they hired him as an extra.
I have found myself walking into film sets on occasion! When I was working in London I once walked out of my office building (near Trafalgar Square) to grab some lunch and almost tripped over Leon Trotsky who was having his lunch just round the corner!
