Episode 1: My experience as a freelancer

Okay, here is the first thing I’ve learned as a freelancer: you should always accelerate yourself. Yes, you got it right, I am not saying to move, I mean, always increase your speed in the world of freelancing. You cannot sit and just do one thing for the whole time, otherwise, you are pushing yourself a few weeks back.

In the middle of 2016, I finished my education and chose to work from home rather working for someone else’s dream. That year, I made a resolution with myself, that I won’t stop the process of becoming a self-made entrepreneur, and I know it seems to be quite hard but not impossible.

I jumped into the world of the Internet and built my own blog just to earn some bucks. But I did not know it would not be as easy as I thought. I got for my blog a verified AdSense account, and it was really an achievement for me at that time for having ads on my blog from Google Advertising company. However, it started at a very slow speed. I hardly made $2 from it in a month because I do not believe in shortcuts in long route roads.

Then, I decided to build something else, so, as usual, Google helped me in knowing YouTube. In June 2017, I published my first video on YouTube, weeks passed, months passed, and I had no views. I was completely lost and demotivated, but life does not stop, it goes on like a river, so I decided not to become disappointed and started working as a freelance writer on blastingnews.com.

I learned many things by working as a writer. I polished my skills, and in the meanwhile, my YouTube started showing me some charms. In November 2017, I got 100k views on my channel and 1k subscribers. Yes, that’s what I called an achievement. I published a new video in the same month, and it got viral. I got 100k views in just a week, and it was insane because it took my channel 6 months to make 100k views, and that video just got them in a week. In February 2017, I got my first payment from Google. It was the happiest moment of my life. I know, it was only $114, but I earned this amount myself with zero investment and without any help.

In the next episode, I will tell you about my writing career and more about YouTube.
